Police in Montreal have arrested Brennan Wayne Guigue, wanted for sexual assault with a gun and armed robbery
The suspect in an armed robbery near George Brown College’s St. James campus and a sexual assault downtown, Brennan Wayne Guigue, 45, was arrested in Montreal on Saturday.
Guigue is currently being held by the Montreal Police Service and will be appearing in a Montreal court for a bail hearing on Monday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m.
Police say that Brennan Wayne Guigue, 45, walked into a restaurant near King Street East. and Sherbourne Street at 3:12 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 then pulled a gun and demanded money from an employee. He then fled westbound on foot.
He is described as 5’9″ tall and 201 lbs. Police believe him to be armed and dangerous and caution people to not approach him and call 911.
Just before midnight on Nov. 6, police said Guigue approached a 28-year-old woman from behind in the Alexander St. and Yonge St. area then pulled a gun and took her to the rear of a building where he sexually assaulted her.
An email from the George Brown College alerted students about Guigue last week while he was still at large. Police define sexual assault as any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
