George Brown College’s annual Tax Clinic urges students to register for tax filing assistance.

This year, the tax clinic with run from March. 6 to April 18. Students can start booking their appointments as early as Feb. 16.

For some time now, the clinic has helped students understand the complexities of tax preparation and provide them with free help completing and filing their yearly taxes.

“We are having more than 70 volunteers this year, which has been a significant growth for our Tax Clinic Program. With this amount of support, we will be able to expand our program”, said Dora Tu, temporary program support coordinator with the SA.

Tax Clinic will provide appointments at the St. James, Casa Loma, and Waterfront campuses, along with online sessions through Zoom Meetings.

“We are going to run the Tax Clinic in the hybrid model to ensure accessibility to all students,” added Tu.

The adaptable booking schedule, ranging from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed to cater to the varied needs and schedules of students.

All full-time students, including international students, are urged to utilize this invaluable service.
