GBC to remove vaccination policy as of May 2022

On Friday, March 4, GBC announced that after reviewing guidance from the provincial government, it has decided to amend its vaccination policy beginning with the spring term.

Effective May 1, students and staff who wish to enter the college will no longer be required to demonstrate proof that they have been fully vaccinated.

This does not affect the current 2022 winter term. Students who are currently studying must still adhere to the current vaccination policies, program delivery, and all other COVID-19 health and safety protocols for the remainder of the winter term.

After George Brown announced they have decided to not re-open campuses for the remainder of the winter term, many students and staff have been wondering when the college will to allow on-campus learning again, especially with COVID-19 restrictions being lifted province-wide.

The spring/summer delivery modes have been updated, with most programs being offered in a hybrid manner. For some programs, students will be allowed to choose how their classes are delivered between hybrid, online, and on-campus delivery (subject to availability).
