SAGBC announces its fall AGM to be held on October 14

The Student Association of George Brown College (SAGBC) announced this week that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Fall 2021 term will be held on October 14 at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The SAGBC’s AGMs are typically held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the winter. They are an opportunity for George Brown College (GBC) students to vote on amendments to the SAGBC’s bylaws, review its financial statements and ask questions of the SAGBC’s leadership.

This fall’s AGM will be held over Zoom, according to the SAGBC’s website. According to the SAGBC’s bylaws, it will need 30 students to meet quorum. Failing that would require the meeting to be rescheduled.

The SAGBC has not yet provided an agenda for the meeting, nor a list of proposed amendments to its bylaws. On its webpage, it says proposed bylaw amendments will come “no fewer than ten business days prior to the meeting.”

GBC students can register for the meeting by clicking here. More information can be found on the SAGBC’s webpage.
