The results for the Spring 2021 Election for the Student Association at George Brown College (SABGC) have recently been announced on April 9, 2021. Approximately 1815 students voted in the election, and the winners will begin their term in the Spring/Summer 2021 semester.
The SAGBC funds the Dialog.
Within the executive positions, the results were not closely tied, as the winning candidate had over a difference of over 100 votes than the others. For the director of communications and internal position Urvish Patel, the current arts, design, and information technology representative, won with 851 votes, with Parmvir Brar following with 604 votes.
“I feel really good, it’s my second term, and I will make sure that whatever I say in my campaign will happen,” said Patel.

Meanwhile, for the director of education and equity, Sri Krishna Rajan, the current interim director of communications and internal, won with 815 votes, and Aasreen Sood trailed behind with 680 votes.
And for the director of student experience, Bharavi Desai won with 646 votes, followed by Rohan Khullar with 596 votes, and Urdhva Shukla with 189 votes.
“The election process is just awesome and like a fantastic experience,” said Desai. “I want to show my gratitude towards all the students who supported me and show their love to me.”
Among the representative positions, Shehzad Contractor won the arts, design, and information technology education centre representative with 141 votes, Sarah Anderson won the community services and early childhood education centre with 91 votes, Tasneem Khan won the construction and engineering technologies position with 106 votes, Dhwani Bhalavat won the health sciences educational centre representative position with 136 votes and Dhwani Panchal won the hospitality and culinary arts position with 93 votes.
Anish Chowdary Kankanala was elected to the GBC board of governors with 1023 votes.
As of right now, the Business Educational Centre Representative has not been verified. No details for when this position will be verified have been provided.
