SAGBC director of communications and internal resigns

Taranjeet Singh Manchanda, the Student Association of George Brown College’s director of communications and internal, has resigned from his position.

At an emergency SAGBC board meeting held on Monday, the board of directors accepted his resignation, which is effective March 1, 2021. The position will be elected in the Spring 2021 election, which is scheduled for later this month.

The SAGBC funds the Dialog.

Manchanda assumed the role in January, having previously served as the SAGBC’s director of education and equity. He took a temporary leave of absence starting on February 1, citing personal reasons.

Sri Krishna Rajan, the SAGBC’s director of student experience, has served as interim director of communications and internal since the beginning of February.

Manchanda’s resignation leaves the SAGBC with only two executives, Rajan and Sagar Sharma. The Spring 2021 election will determine three executive positions.
