All motions passed at SAGBC’s Annual General Meeting

By Rachel Kohl

All motions were unanimously approved and carried by the Student Association of George Brown College’s (SAGBC) members at its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 22.

Among the approved motions are by-law changes that affect the eligibility of those who are able to run for board positions, create new protocols for how candidates can challenge election results, and address the timing of elections.

The Dialog is funded by the SAGBC.

Also presented at the AGM was an audited financial statement that disclosed SAGBC’s expenses and assets. Operations manager Wafa Ulliyan said that the SAGBC’s reports and budgets will be publicly released next week.

The meeting was held on Zoom and attended by GBC students as well as the SAGBC board of directors.

The SAGBC’s Fall elections will be held in November 2020.
