Sexual assault alert near St. George Street and Bernard Ave.

Toronto police have issued a sexual assault alert after a women in the St. George street and Bernard Ave. area, which is near George Brown College’s Casa Loma campus, was knocked to the ground by a man who made sexually explicit remarks to her. 

According to police, the incident happened at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday night as the woman was walking home and she noticed she was being followed. After making the sexual remarks the man then walked up to her and knocked her to the ground. The woman took out her cell phone to call for help and the man fled.

Police describe him as white, approximately 5’5′, with a thin build. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with the hood up, and running shoes. He also had a thin, dark, pencil moustache.

A sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
