The Think Fast Summer Bash event runs from 6 to 9 p.m., on July. 20. It will raise money for Best Buddies Canada, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through friendship and inclusion programs.

The event is organized by Game on Events, a team of nine sport and event marketing students.

Think Fast Summer Bash is kind of our passion project for our major. we are sport and event marketing students, so our big project for the year is running and executing a charity fundraising event. So, as the collective, we decided to do a trivia event,” said Beth Davies the head of marketing with the group.

Tickets cost $25 and are available through their website.

The team notes that all proceeds raised from the event will go directly to Best Buddies Canada.

Their goal is to raise $10,000 for the charity.

The night will include trivia games, food, drinks and raffle draw.

Attendees will have the chance to win prizes including tickets for Toronto Tempo or AFC Toronto, A round of golf for two, and much more!

“In addition to trivia, we want to just foster an inclusive environment where people you might not run into on a daily basis, can meet each other and maybe start building relationships, because that is what our charity partner Best Buddies, Canada, is all about inclusivity and building long-term friendships. So, we want to kind of do the same through this event as well,” said Jeremy Gomes, team lead.

Sponsors include AFC Toronto, Neal Brothers, Canada Soccer, and Mirvish Theatre.

Minimum donation is just $5 per person, with organizers encouraging higher contributions.
