Get set for the future at the Student Life Expo, this weekend.

Hosted by BMO, the event is Canada’s leading post-secondary education and lifestyle event. Running for more than 20 years to help students explore education and career options, the event focuses on helping students prepare for and advance their future.

“It’s a lot larger. It’s grown in size, but the focus has always remained the same to help students explore their options,” said Mark Ebedes, founder of the expo.

The event will feature more than 50 exhibitors, giving students the opportunity to learn about various schools and programs. Ebedes said it is important for students to make the most of the Expo by asking questions and considering their choices.

The expo also gives students opportunities to look into interests and explore paths they might not have thought about before. Even a single conversation or chance to learn about a school or program can help them make decisions about their future.

“Information is important, so students need to take advantage of opportunities to ask questions and learn about what’s out there. There are several presentations they can attend, which will be helpful for them to consider,” he said.

The event isn’t just for high school students either; current college students can also benefit. It offers information on student life, housing, budgeting, and paying for school, with resources provided by sponsors such as BMO.

Students can use it to connect directly with exhibitors, schools, companies, or organizations, depending on their interests.

Ebedes mentioned that the Student Life Expo aims to give students information and inspiration, encouraging them to consider all their choices.

“If we help change a student’s path in their life, then I think we have done a good job,” he said.

The event is free and open to students at all stages, whether they are exploring options, enrolled in post-secondary school, or considering careers or apprenticeships.

Many exhibitors including George Brown College, the Royal Canadian Navy, and other will be on hand to speak with students and answer questions.Metro

It provides the opportunity to connect with companies and organizations that can help them plan their future.

Students who register for free tickets are entered for a chance to win $2,000 towards their tuition.

The 2025 Expo runs Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
