This morning, at around 11:30 a.m., the fire alarm system at the St. James business building at 290 Adelaide Street was activated.
A sprinkler inside a washroom prevented the fire from spreading.
Toronto Fire Services arrived at the location to help extinguish the fire and evacuate the building. Fortunately, no injures were reported.
The men’s washroom on the second floor remains closed.
