18-year-old Yusuf Ali identified as victim of Monday’s fatal shooting near Shuter and Parliament streets

The victim of a shooting Monday near Parliament and Shuter streets has been identified by police as Yusuf Ali, 18, of Toronto.

On Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at 2:44 p.m., police responded to a call in the  area for the sound of gunshots.

Once on scene, police located a man in his late teens with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died of his wounds.

The suspect is described as wearing all black with a hoodie. The suspect was last seen going northbound on Regent Street. Homicide investigators are reviewing security video footage collected from the surrounding area.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information to contact investigators.
