Winning sketch by GBC fashion students Irina Shilyaeva and Ji Young Kim in the Design your Goose contest.

Fashion Techniques and Design program first year students, Irina Shilyaeva and Ji Young Kim have made it into the top three for Sporting Life’s, ’Design Your Goose’, contest in partnership with Canada Goose.

The students submitted sketches for a ‘Canada Goose’ jacket in the first phase of the contest. The second phase, for finalists, is making the coat. The two first year students are hoping to win the $5000 bursary, as well as, an internship in the buying department of Sporting Life and a full-page profile of their team and jacket in ‘S Magazine’.

Winners will be announced Jan. 9
