The small community college of Umpqua in rural Oregon is the site of the latest mass-shooting at a school in the United States which saw a single shooter kill 10 and wound 7 people. As students tried to find out what was happening and cope with the tragedy they posted to social media networks like Twitter. Here’s some of what they had to say.

The #RoseburgStrong vigil on Thursday night

The night of the shooting saw the Umpqua College community rally together in a candlelight vigil. Hundreds of students, staff and community members attended to remember the victims and give support to each other.

Thank you to Justin Pittman for this photo of the first vigil. As Pittman says, this sums up a lot right now.
