Man wanted for robbery of variety stores

Toronto Police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in two robberies.

According to police on Sunday, April 26, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., a man entered a variety store at 161 Church Street, and a variety store at 237 Gerrard Street East.

At each of the variety stores, he walked in with a four-pronged cane, and waved the cane aggressively towards the victims, demanding money. His attempts at robbery were unsuccessful both times and he fled in a red four-wheeled scooter

The man is described as white, 34-45, 5’7”-5’10”, with a moustache and beard, and walks with a limp.
